Lange Nacht Der Bilder at Villa Kuriosum will host a special edition of Room for Doubt in Berlin for Lange Nacht der Bilder (The long night of pictures, Lichtenberg) The project will use multiple areas indoors and outdoors to accommodate different positions from the artistic community around the project and guests. Based on the pillars of hospitability and self-criticism, the space will be activated by installations, performances, and objects.
Room for Doubt has arrived in Berlin lately, but not too late, it has made new friends and reconnected with the old ones. The context is complex and complicated, the future is unclear, and we all have doubts and fears and have found a place to share them with you.
The pop-up project space, Room for Doubt which was tested for 5 months in the old building of the New Media Society in Tehran – July 2022 aims to empower artists/performers/researchers to show a fraction of their practice to the public for few days of open studio, try-out performance or presentations. Often hosted in a temporary space, the next series of Room for Doubt will be happening in Berlin Lichtenberg at Villa Kuriosum. The idea is to propose multiple rooms where new positions are invited to engage in conversation with existing members of the collective and the public to receive feedback and new perspectives on the shared works/ doubts.
Come to Villa Kuriosum for a group exhibition of images, videos, installations, interventions, performances, and music on September 1, 2023, from 18:00 to Midnight.
The exhibition will continue on the 2nd and 3rd of September while the garden is open.
Live performances, they will be from 20:30 pm to 22:30 pm.
